Historical Homes and Foliage on Queen Square – Sunday August 29th

Spend a Sunday painting in the park. Uptown Saint John’s Queen Square is a lush, beautiful, shady hill, full of mature trees and surrounded by historical homes. Participants will have numerous subjects to choose for their compositions, such as trees and lawn, residendial facades of red brick / colourful patterned wood shingles, etc.

The workshop will begin with a demonstration by Alexandra, summarizing the use of a view finder to compose subject matter, aspects of linear perspective,   and arial persective. Colour mixing and brushwork tips will also be covered during this late summer lesson.

Recommended for individuals who have had some previous painting experience and/or instruction (intermediate)

  • Cost:  $75       Palette fee available upon request:  $25 – includes paint colours in a take away tupperware container and acrylic matte medium.
  • Time: 10 am – 4pm with a picnic break mid-way.
