One Day Plein Air / Garden Landscape Painting Workshops for Beginners
Saint John, Sunday August 22nd Summer 2010
In this 1-day outdoor workshop, Alexandra will take you painting in a residential garden located in Saint John. The workshop will begin with an in-depth demonstration by Alexandra, focusing on use of a “view finder” to establish a composition, wet-in-wet acrylic painting techniques, and linear perspective. Afterward, students will receive one-on-one coaching and notes in review. Colour mixing, composition, and the pros and cons of using a photo reference for landscape painting will also be covered in this intensive and fun workshop.
Although this is a beginners’ workshop for those who have not yet painted landscape foliage on site, it is still recommended that participants have experienced some previous painting instruction, ideally in acrylics.
